Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, rebuilt annually in Lainio, Kittilä, features snow suites decorated with an underwater theme, complete with whale song soundscapes. A luxury ice suite accommodates two guests. For families or groups, a snow suite makes accommodation possible in the same room for up to five people. High-quality sleeping bags are provided. Overnight tours begin from reception at 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00. Private access is granted to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage from 22:00 to 10:00 for Luxury Ice Suite guests.

Dining in Ice

Lapland Hotels SnowVillage provides several dining experiences. The Ice Restaurant offers a three-course menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and northern flavors, open from Monday to Sunday, 17:00-22:00. A three-soup lunch buffet, including meat, fish, and vegetable options, is available daily from 11:00-16:00. The Log Restaurant Krouvi serves à la carte dishes in a warm environment and provides a large breakfast buffet with Lapland cuisine for lunch and dinner. There is also a Glass Restaurant that offers à la carte and Lappi Buffet options in the evenings.

Snow and Ice Attractions

Each year, Lapland Hotels SnowVillage showcases a unique theme with ice art and structures, constructed from over 20 million kilos of snow and 300,000 kilos of crystal-clear natural ice. Past themes included Nordic Mythology and Famous Landmarks. Current ice exhibition ticket includes entry to the Ice Bar. Guests can take guided tours for €92 for groups of up to 30 people. The venue includes an ice bar serving drinks in ice glasses, ceremony space, and ice slide. It is open daily from December 25 to April 6.

Lapland Hotels SnowVillage is located 30 km from Kittilä, at Lainiotie 566 in Lainio. From Kittilä, follow route 79. The site is accessible by car, taxi, snowmobile, or ski. It is approximately 15 km from Ylläsjärvi via the shortest ski route, and about 50 km from Levi. Guests can take a ski bus or connecting bus to Ylläsjärvi. Ample parking is available.
