The Rhumb Line Resort provides lodging in a four-acre wooded area on Ocean Avenue, 1.5 miles from the shoreline. Rooms have options for two queen beds or one king bed. All rooms include down alternative bedding, CCTV, wireless access, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer. Some rooms have a private balcony or patio that looks out on the outdoor pool and spa area. Mini-suites offer three separate sections with a queen bed, a living area with a couch that opens to a double bed, and a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave. Two-room suites are also available, featuring a full kitchen between two guest rooms, each with a queen bed and a couch that opens into a double.
Onsite Dining
Guests can dine at the seasonal Admiral's Table restaurant, which features seafood and traditional American cuisine. During the summer, poolside dining is available, including nightly Downeast lobster bakes under the gazebo. The poolside Admiral's Table Bar and Grill is open nightly in season, serving poolside cocktails and fare.
Leisure and Activities
The resort has indoor and outdoor heated pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and a fitness center. The outdoor pool is open from mid-May through mid-October, while all other facilities stay open year-round. Guests can visit the Seashore Trolley Museum, offering antique trolley rides and train exhibits. Boat tours of Kennebunk River and Walker's Point are available to see seals and haul lobster traps.
Location and Transportation
The Rhumb Line Resort is near a coastal pebble beach and a short drive from sandy beaches. It is 50 km from Portland International Jetport. The In Town Trolley stops at the resort, offering tours of Kennebunk and rides to Dock Square's galleries, shops, and restaurants. Free parking is available for tour buses.
Services and Amenities
The resort provides free continental breakfast with all room stays. The Rhumb Line Resort hosts events, including indoor birthday pool parties for up to 15 and outdoor tented weddings for up to 150 guests. Free wireless internet access is available. The resort is decorated in twinkling red lights with decorations during the Christmas season.
