Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Hotel De Hallen is situated in a pleasant square, within a reasonable walking distance of around 30 minutes to the city center, with convenient access to tram lines. The hotel stands out with its interesting design, located in a former tram depot and offering spacious rooms; some rooms, however, have limited views or require closed curtains for privacy, especially those on the ground floor. Many guests appreciate the proximity to the Foodhallen, where they can enjoy a fabulous selection of street foods, and the reasonable pricing adds to the appeal. The modern bathrooms and great showers are also frequently mentioned as highlights.

Really good Stay Near Foodhallen

interior designdaily waterwalkable restaurant
The hotel's proximity to the Foodhallen was advantageous. I found several walkable restaurants and shops. The hotel's interior design impressed me. I also appreciated the daily provision of water at the entrance.
The location is somewhat distant from the central station and main canals.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast featured fresh ingredients obtained from local suppliers. A vegan restaurant connects to Food Hall. Anne&Max breakfast and lunch restaurant around the corner is a classic European eatery.
Rooms
9/10
The room was sleek and clean, and it maintained a grown-up feel. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. I slept soundly. The bathroom and shower was spacious and included a bath, which I found nice.
Service
10/10
Maria was notably nice, and she ensured I got what I needed. The staff demonstrated helpfulness and friendliness. They arranged balloons in the room and left macaroons with a bottle of wine as a gesture.
