Area Attractions
Casa Bonita is an ideal place for guests to interact with the rich biodiversity of the region. The lagoon is home to iguanas, fresh water turtles, and over 50 varieties of birds, such as flamingos, pelicans, herons, and Florida ducks. Laguna de Oviedo is a saltwater lake and the second largest body of water in the Dominican Republic. Within the lake are three islands, the largest called Isla Cabritos, which is scattered with various types of iguana. The lagoon includes 24 keys in the center and mangrove swamps, visible throughout a boat tour. Bahía de las Aguilas is a protected beach with white sand and crystal waters. Cabo Rojo features white sands and turquoise waters.
