Angaga Island Resort features 50 detached Maldivian thatched Beach Bungalows, 20 Superior Water Bungalows, and 20 Premium Water Bungalows. Each bungalow includes a WC, luxury furniture, sun chairs, a mini-fridge, satellite TV with a flat screen, a hair dryer, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Free Wi-Fi and bathroom amenities (bathrobe, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel) are provided. Superior Water Bungalows include glass-bottom tables. Premium Water Bungalows have a back door leading to a private sun deck with direct access to the turquoise lagoon.
Dining Choices
The Dolphin Restaurant offers buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Halal, vegetarian, and dietary food options are available. A Maldivian night is held every Tuesday. Seafood is available upon request for an extra charge. Special preparations can also be requested. The Beach Bar provides a menu with mouthwatering A la Carte dishes, tea, and coffee. Live band performances occur weekly. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00, lunch from 12:30 to 14:00 (13:00 to 14:30 on Fridays), and dinner from 19:30 to 21:00.
Leisure and Activities
Guests can snorkel around the house reef, which is home to turtles and colorful fish. The resort has a water sports center with activities such as canoeing, catamaran sailing, fun tube rides, jet skiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing lessons, stand-up paddleboarding, kneeboarding, and windsurfing. The Duny Thai Spa offers treatments, including aromatic oil massage, Aloe Vera After Sun Treatment, and Romance Bath. Sunset fishing excursions catch snappers, groupers, and barracuda. The Fitness Centre includes an abdominal bench, lat pulldown machine, exercise bike, pec deck machine, dumbbells, stair stepper, leg curl machine, spin bike, and treadmill.
Location and Transport
Angaga Island Resort & Spa is located 5 km from Villa International Maamigili on the South Ari Atoll. It is reachable by a 20-minute domestic flight to Maamigili airport, followed by a 25-minute speedboat transfer. Guests arriving at Male' International Airport after 15:30 will be transferred to the resort by domestic transfer.
Services Available
The property provides an in-house travel library with 100 titles. A boutique shop sells locally made arts and crafts, postcards, beachwear, swimwear, toiletries, and snacks. Guests can play board/card games at the Beach Bar. Safety deposit boxes and in-room lockers are available. The SUB AQUA DiveCenter provides daily diving trips and PADI courses.
