The Empress Hotel offers several dining options. The Brasserie Restaurant and Piano Bar on the first floor offer views of Douglas Bay from the conservatory. The Piano Bar serves a full bar menu until 9:30 PM and a range of drinks. Breakfast, including a full Manx breakfast, cereals, pastries, and fruit, is served from 6:45 AM to 10:00 AM Monday to Saturday and from 7:15 AM to 10:00 AM on Sunday. The Piano Bar & Brasserie Restaurant offer the same menu daily from 11 AM to 10 PM.

The Piano Bar has seating for up to 130 persons and provides a social meeting area for coffee and drinks. The hotel is suited to host meetings, events, product launches, and training courses for up to 180 delegates. Banqueting suites accommodate up to 60 people in The Connaught and 200 people in The Prince Albert. The Prince Albert Suite includes a private bar area and dance floor. The hotel can organize catering, flowers, and musicians.
