Superior King Rooms (350 sq ft) include one king bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and mountain views. Superior Queen Rooms (350 sq ft) feature two queen beds and mountain views. Premier King Rooms (430 sq ft) have one king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. Premier Queen Rooms (430 sq ft) include two queen beds, a balcony with mountain views, or a patio with orchard views. The Salzburg Suite (480 sq ft) includes a king bed, sitting area with queen sleeper sofa, refrigerator, patio, and mountain views. Family Suites (722 sq ft) have a primary bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with two full beds. One-Bedroom Suites (722 sq ft) feature a king bed in a separate bedroom and a living room with a queen sleeper sofa. The Tyrol Suite (540 sq ft) includes a king bed, sitting area with queen sleeper sofa, wet bar with refrigerator, balcony, and orchard views. Two-Bedroom Suites (830 sq ft) have two bedrooms each with one king bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa. Mountain Suites (722 sq ft) feature a primary bedroom with a king bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a balcony with mountain views, and a refrigerator. Austria Suites (690 sq ft) include a bedroom with a king bed, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace or wood stove, a queen sleeper sofa, a wet bar with refrigerator, and a balcony with mountain views. The von Trapp Suite (1,026 sq ft) features a king bed in a separate bedroom, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a queen sleeper sofa, a wet bar with refrigerator, and a balcony with mountain views. Private Guest Houses (1,100 sq ft) each have two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with a wood stove and pullout queen sleeper sofa. Villas (2,500 sq ft) are private units with three bedrooms, full bathrooms, stone fireplaces, dining areas, and fully equipped kitchens. Villa Triplex units (1,500 sq ft) feature a full kitchen and fireplace.
Onsite dining
Trapp Family Lodge has several dining options. The Dining Room is open for breakfast (7:30 am - 10:30 am) and dinner (5:00 pm - 9:00 pm), serving Vermont-style buffet breakfast and dinner with live music. The Lounge offers Vermont and Austrian dishes, von Trapp Brewing lager, cocktails, and mountain views. Von Trapp Brewing Bierhall is attached to the brewery and serves Austrian-style lunch and dinner with von Trapp Brewing lagers. Many menu items are prepared on the wood-fired Parrilla grill. Kaffeehaus serves coffee, breakfast pastries, sandwiches, soups, and von Trapp Brewing lagers.
Leisure and activities
Trapp Family Lodge provides activities all year long. Spring, Summer, and Fall activities include hiking, mountain biking, horse-drawn carriage rides, and guided tours. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, and snowshoeing. The property has a fitness center, an indoor rock-climbing wall, and offers yoga classes. Guests have full use of the fitness center, trail system, outdoor pools, hot tubs, and scheduled activities.
Location and access
Trapp Family Lodge is located in Stowe, Vermont, near shops, restaurants, and natural features. The lodge is 20 km from Morrisville-Stowe State. The Stowe Pinnacle Trail is accessible from Trapp Family Lodge, offering views of the Green Mountains. From Trapp Family Lodge, follow Route 100 north to Moscow Road. Follow it for about two miles to the Cotton Brook Entrance to the Mount Mansfield State Forest.
