Rooms at The Pier
The Pier is a 3-star B & B with 5 bedrooms in the heart of Southsea, adjacent to the street leading to the Southsea sea front. Each guest bedroom features either a king-sized bed or twin beds, Egyptian linen, a flat-screen TV, a beverage tray, and free Wi-Fi. Room 1 also has a shower cubical which has clear 80 cm access, a moulded slip resistant shower tray illuminated by ceiling light, and a tiled toilet room equipped with a toilet and a small wash basin. All rooms also have two bedside lights switched from the bed and self-closing mechanisms in compliance with fire regulations. Features include free toiletries, an electric kettle, ironing facilities, and heating. All bedrooms are fitted with either a central light and/or wall lights controlled by a light switch just inside the bedroom door. Rooms feature carpeted floors and a sitting area.
Dining at The Pier
Choice of continental or hearty English breakfast will be served in the breakfast room, which is accessed from the corridor through a 76 cm wide door. The breakfast room is lit by a chandelier and wall lights all fitted with energy efficient bulbs.
Leisure and Connectivity
Free Wi-Fi is available to all guests throughout the B & B. The Pier has no facilities to accommodate young children or pets. Rooms benefit from tea and coffee making facilities.
Location and Access
The Pier is ideally situated for exploring Portsmouth's many attractions. The University of Portsmouth is within walking distance. The Pier is a 20-minute walk from Portsmouth Harbour and less than 10 minutes' walk from Clarence Pier in Portsmouth. Southampton is 35 km away. Pedestrian access between the parking zones and the B & B is via level, well lit pavements. A taxi rank, which usually has accessible taxis, is adjacent to the station. The nearest Red Cross depot for loan of mobility aids is in Winchester.
