Cottages with Island Charm
Sunset Key Cottages features one, two, three, and four-bedroom cottages with traditional Key West architecture. Garden View cottages include patios overlooking the foliage. Partial Ocean View cottages overlook the land to the beach. Ocean Front cottages overlook the ocean. Cottages include kitchens and comfortable furnishings.
Dining: Island Flavors
Latitudes Restaurant serves fresh cuisine with views of the Gulf of Mexico. Flippers Pool Bar, next to the saltwater pool, provides tropical drinks and light fare. A complimentary breakfast basket is delivered to each cottage. Complimentary poolside treats, ranging from frozen drink samples to popsicles, are offered.
Activities and Relaxation
Guests can use the heated pool, two whirlpools, and a waterfall. The Spa at Sunset Key provides treatments including facials, massages, and salon services. Two tennis courts and a half basketball court are available. Sunset Key Cottages can accommodate mobility accessible needs in main building, Latitudes Restaurant, Flippers Pool Bar, the Opal Spa at Sunset Key Cottages, fitness center, tennis courts, the zero entry pool, the dock at Sunset Key Cottages, handicap auto and van parking spaces at Opal Key Resort & Marina, and boat transportation to and from the resort located at the dock at Opal Key Resort & Marina.
Location and Access
Sunset Key Cottages is on a 27-acre private island, a 7-minute boat ride from Opal Key Resort & Marina. Key West International Airport (EYW) is about 4 miles away. Boat transportation to and from the resort is included in the resort fee. The boat leaves Opal Key at 15- and 45-minute mark of every hour from 6:45am to 10:45pm. It leaves Sunset Key's dock on the hour and half hour (after 11 the boat runs by request).
Services and Amenities
The resort is dog-friendly for dogs 30 pounds or less, with a gift bag, Opal Paws dog mat, and food and water bowls provided. An accessible boat is available on call between 7:15am - 2:15am. A daily Rise and Dine Breakfast Basket and nightly turndown service are included in the resort fee. Paradise Cottage accommodates 80 guests for events. An extra person fee of $100 per adult applies.
