Sol Y Luna - Relais & Chateaux, Sacred Valley
About the Hotel
Rooms: Casitas Sanctuaries
Sol y Luna offers guests accommodation in individual 'casita' houses constructed from local stone. Each of the forty-three casitas faces the Andes Mountains. They feature a private outdoor terrace leading to a living space with terra cotta tile floors and Peruvian textiles. Rooms include Spanish colonial style furniture, king size or two double beds with goose feather duvets and Peruvian Pima cotton sheets. Marble bathrooms include a deep soak bathtub. Deluxe Casitas have wood burning fireplaces in the living room and bedroom, L'Occitane amenities and heated floors. Premium Casitas offer a Jacuzzi on the private garden terrace and a Bose sound system. Room service, laundry service, and complimentary Wi-Fi are available.
Dining: Andean Flavors
Sol y Luna blends innovative Peruvian cuisine with Andean cooking traditions. The Killa Wasi restaurant serves fine Peruvian dishes, including ceviches and guinea pig. Wayra restaurant offers burgers, pastas, and sandwiches for lunch and dinner, plus good coffee. Guests can enjoy a bespoke menu of seasonal dishes prepared by Executive Chef Nacho Selis and paired with wines selected by the in-house Sommelier. The hotel offers pizza nights where guests can prepare pizzas under the guidance of the chef. A pachamanca recreates an Andean banquet featuring lamb, alpaca, pork, chicken and guinea pig, along with sweet potatoes, potatoes, and white corn.
Leisure and Wellness
Guests may relax by the sun kissed swimming pool with deck loungers and poolside dining. The Yacu Wasi spa features stained glass and local stone, offering massage, facial, and hydrotherapy treatments using organic Andean plants and herbs. There is an Andean herbal infused sauna and a gym with cardio and free weights. The hotel offers Machu Picchu full-day tours, including accommodation, daily breakfast buffet, access to the outdoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center, sauna, and steam room.
