About the Hotel
Sustainable Havens
Hix Island House is the first sustainably designed hotel in the Caribbean, based on Wabi Sabi principles. Each of the four havens respects Nature. Guestrooms include comforts such as premium bedding, as well as amenities like safes. The lofts feature framed Caribbean Sea views. These views are open to warm revitalizing. The garden level private entry patio and kitchen/dining area have views to the surrounding hills. Each bedroom can be configured with either a king or two twin beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with an outdoor shower and private patio. Loft Adobe is located on the garden level of Casa Triangular. This loft has a stair to a private rooftop terrace. Rooms include ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, a terrace, a dining table, a patio, free toiletries, a kitchen, cookware/kitchen utensils, and an electric kettle.
Onsite Food and Drinks
The kitchen/ banana bar provides an option for drinks and dining. Guests enjoy the outdoor dining option on the entry patio. La Casona is a recommended facility by many local caterers and can be arranged for weddings of up to seventy.
Activities and Wellness
Hix Island House offers restorative classes for everyone at The Pavilion. Yoga and Pilates have the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. Local instructors can be arranged for your Retreat or classes conducted by your group's instructor. The Yoga/Pilates Pavilion and attractive meadow have hosted ceremonies as well. From the pool, guests can enjoy the earliest rays in the morning. Guests marvel at the many wild horses roaming throughout the island. Over 30 beautiful beaches of Vieques offer the adventure of your choice, trails in the National Wildlife Refuge, and dozens of beaches with sand ranging from powder white to sparkling black.

Hix Island House is 5 km from Antonio Rivera Rodriguez, which is 5 km away from Highway 997. Gallery Galleon is 2 km away, while Isabel Segunda is 5 km away. Playa Grande and Mosquito Pier are both 3.5 km away, and Malecon is 3 km away. Balneario Sun Bay is 4 km from the property. The hotel provides a panoramic backdrop view of the Island and the Caribbean Sea, including the Bioluminescent Bay. The Bioluminescent Bay, declared the brightest in the World by the Guinness Book of World Records is nearby. Marvel at the exciting ambience of the spaces where you will be at one with Nature. La Casona provides a venue for both ceremony and the reception. It features views to the Caribbean Sea and surrounding hills. Visit the Mirabel Fort Museum, built by Spain in the 19th century. The capital Isabel Segunda and the fishing village Esperanza showcase 400 years of Spanish architecture and local cuisine. The native night blooming jasmine bestows a wonderful perfume after sunset.
