Fluno Center Guest Rooms
The Fluno Center features guest rooms on floors four through seven, each with one or two queen-sized beds. Suites with king-sized beds are available. Each room includes a Kohler whirlpool bath, a workstation, and building-wide Wi-Fi. Rooms also contain a mini-refrigerator, a Keurig coffee maker, a 40-inch flat-screen TV with cable, and free local and 800 calls. Microwaves are available upon request. An extra blanket and a foam pillow are located on the top shelf of the closet. Ethernet cable internet access is available, using the provided ethernet cable to plug into the wall jack above the desk labeled 'Ethernet'.
Dining at Fluno Center
The Fluno Center provides dining options including the Oros Executive Dining Room and Smitty's Study Pub. The Oros Executive Dining Room serves buffet breakfast (weekdays 7:00-9:00 a.m.) and lunch (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.) with local, seasonal food. Smitty's Study Pub, located on the eighth floor, serves food from 4:00-9:00 p.m. The Front Desk can confirm hours during your stay. Vending machines for beverages are on floors four and six, and snacks are on floors five and seven, next to the ice machines on the east side of the building.
Leisure and Activities
The Fluno Center provides access to recreational facilities including tennis and racquetball courts, the University Ridge Golf Course, indoor swimming pools, and gymnasiums. The Fitness Center, open 5:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. daily, features a compact trainer, free weights, yoga mats, an elliptical trainer, treadmills, a Stairmaster, and a stationary bicycle. Towels and daily newspapers are available in the Fitness Center. Smitty's Study Pub has a pool table, games, and televisions.
Location & Accessibility
The Fluno Center is on the UW-Madison campus in downtown Madison, WI, 15 km from Dane County Regional Airport. It is near State Street's pedestrian mall, museums, theaters, performing arts venues, and UW Badger sporting events at the Kohl Center and Camp Randall Stadium. Madison has 220 parks and more than 150 miles of bike and cross-country ski trails. Lots 46 and 83 are available for parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Fluno Center Services
The Fluno Center provides a business center on the 2nd floor, accessible 24 hours a day with a guest room keycard, containing four computers and a fax machine. The staff assists with faxes, messages, and classroom needs. Luggage carts and bellmen are available upon request, and a secure bell closet is behind the Front Desk for luggage storage on the departure day. The center also provides conference and meeting planning, including catering and audio/visual services. Complimentary wireless and ethernet cable internet access are available.
