Deer Valley Lodge, a four-story hotel, provides 48 standard rooms and 14 suites. Suite options include Bunk Bed Suites, Deluxe Whirlpool Suites, and Balcony Suites. Standard rooms offer a choice of one king bed or two queen beds. All rooms feature cable television. Suites include continental breakfast, wireless internet, ironing board, iron, a 32-inch flat screen television with cable, coffee maker, hair dryer, USB wall charger, and mini refrigerator. Some suites include a desk and chair or a table. Suites have custom designed hand-made furniture, themed decor, and antler sconces.
Dining at Deer Valley
The Rusty Nail Saloon, accessible from the hotel lobby and waterpark, offers a family-friendly environment with rustic furnishings and two flat-screen TVs featuring ESPN. It is open Fridays from 5 PM to 9 PM, Saturdays from noon to 10 PM, and Sundays from 11 AM to 3 PM. The saloon accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Food is available at the front desk 24/7, including homemade 12-inch thick crust pizzas (cheese, sausage, and pepperoni), candy, chips, ice cream, beer (until midnight), and bottled soda. Only food and beverage purchased from Deer Valley Lodge is allowed in the Water Park.
Leisure and Entertainment
Deer Valley Lodge features a 12,000-square-foot indoor waterpark with two tower slides, a zero-depth kiddie pool, an activity pool, play equipment, three basketball hoops, fountains, dump buckets, and a jacuzzi. Guests can play in the Deer Valley Lodge Game Room located inside the Waterpark. The waterpark is open daily from 8 AM to 11 PM. Tower Slides are operational Fridays 5 PM to 9 PM, Saturdays 9 AM to 11 AM / Noon to 8 PM, and Sundays 9 AM to 1 PM / 5 PM - 8 PM. Guests can also play golf at the 27-hole Deer Valley Golf Course. During winter, enjoy 16 tree-lined slopes for skiing and snowboarding, with a 300-foot vertical hill and a half pipe.
Location and Surroundings
Deer Valley Lodge is located in the rolling hills of south-central Wisconsin, 70 km from Dane County Regional Airport. Nearby attractions include Governor Dodge State Park, one of Wisconsin's largest state parks, with 5,270 acres featuring steep hills, bluffs, deep valleys, and a waterfall. The park has two large lakes for swimming and fishing, and 40 miles of trails for hiking, biking, skiing, and horseback riding. The Military Ridge State Park Trail is within walking distance. Yellowstone Lake is also nearby.
Services and Facilities
Deer Valley Lodge provides several services, including a 5,000 square foot banquet hall that accommodates 350-400 people, with a full-service bar and dance floor. The onsite chef can cater to special needs with buffet-style meals, formal sit-down affairs, or hors d'oeuvres. The hotel has 7,500 square feet of meeting space and 6 meeting spaces. Rental items are available for events, including cocktail tables, head table lighting packages, and signs. The lodge uses an Energize System to control room temperature and lights when unoccupied and uses solar power to save on fossil fuel use. Only food and beverage purchased from Deer Valley Lodge is allowed in these areas. Guests can purchase Cave Passes at the front desk.
